Born and raised on the Northeast side of Detroit during the challenging economic downturn of the 80s, Donele has emerged as a dynamic leader committed to reshaping the narrative of her city.
Grounded in the struggles and triumphs of growing up in Detroit and grappling with economic challenges, she found inspiration in the resilience of her community. Witnessing firsthand the impact of neglected people and neighborhoods, she harbored a vision of renewal and equity that would drive her life's work.
Her leadership is marked by a holistic approach, recognizing that true renewal requires addressing social, economic, and environmental factors. From pioneering workforce development programs to spearheading initiatives for environmental justice, our founder embodies a commitment to building a future where every Detroiter thrives.
